Creating for Craft Fairs

Happy Monday - Hope you had a terrific weekend!

I had a free weekend with only one commitment  (dinner with my long time girlfriends on Sat.) so I took advantage of this time to start prepping and creating for the fall / holiday craft fairs I attend.  I always have a stash of cards on hand, however at the Christmas Market last December I sold out of Christmas Cards so it is time to start creating.  I've been going thru my stash of supplies and Iam using alot of my retired paper, ribbon and embellishments to create these cards with.  Part of my #useitup campaign for this year.  I was amazed at how many I finished this weekend -
50 Christmas Cards (12 layouts) and 19 occasion cards (4 layouts)- here are a few of the cards I created.

Honey & Hog Event

Sorry this post is so late today but I wanted to share my day with you.  I spent most of the day vending at a local event- Honey & Hog.  This event is held in June at the historic Dill's Tavern in Dillsburg, Pa.

The Tavern  was open for tours and the board members were cooking fresh made sausage sandwiches - oh so good!  There was also a local beekeeper there - he gave 2 talks and had honey, infused honey and other products created from honey and beeswax for sale - the Orange Ginger Honey was delicious on chicken!

There was live music thoughout the day and several vendors.

There was a working blacksmith on site also- he was in this buidling.

Another vendor and I were set up in the barn.
Here were my tables today

I love sharing what I love with others!

Blessings, Missy

Craft Fair season

I love doing craft fairs and have done lots of them over the past 20 years.  Started out doing decorative wood painting for home and yard and now doing papercrafting.  I love the interaction- seeing someone who loves my projects as much as I do, however gift giving is down these days and most people just do gift cards.

Today's event was a small event to benefit a Local Cancer group called Pink Partners.  Thought I share with you some of the items I create and sell at my events.

The snowman with the glove hats have microwave popcorn inside and are always good sellers

Boxed cards were a hit today.

My greeting cards always sell well - and I always have a large selection.

And some of my framed art.

Year of Cheer Giftbox

Happy Monday!  We finished up our retreat yesterday and the weather was sunny and 70.  I so wish it would stay like this all fall.

I was able to create lots of fun items for the upcoming craft fairs so I'll share one with you today.

Love the new acetate boxes - this time I filled them with Ghirardelli wrapped Chocolates.

I used Year of Cheer DSP to wrap the chocolates and to decorate the box.

What an elegant gift!

Blessings, Missy

RemARKable Blog Tour-Designer Series Paper

Welcome to our October Edition of the RemARKabl Created Blog Tour!  Fall is defiantly in the air here on the east coast, days are getting shorter, air is getting cooler and I had to scrape frost off my windshield already!    Fall is a great time to craft and create- gather your friends and pull out some supplies and see what everyone creates.  During the month of October Stampin' Up is running an amazing sale- great time to stock up!

So many beautiful papers- ready to see some projects I created .....

This is the time of year that I do several Craft fairs, so it's time for some treats and giftables.

These wrapped Hershey Nuggets treats are always in demand- they make a great co-worker gift, stocking stuffer or treat for a friend.  It's also a great way to use up scraps from other projects.  The nuggets are wrapped with a 1" x 3" piece of DSP and placed in a cello bag with a cardstock topper (3" x "3 folded in half- stamped and deorated).  Just use a stapler to attach the topper to the bag.  Quick and Easy and who doesn't like chocolate!

I really love the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper  and it was in my DSP order this month!

Here is another treat I'm creating for the craft fairs.

Combined  the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamped Images with the Candy Cane Lane DSP- they ar bright and cheery!

These treats have a snack size Hershey bar in them.  A piece of cardstock cut at 3 1/2" X 7 1/2" and scored @ 1/4", 1 5/8", 2 7/8", & 3 1/4".  DSP  cut at 1" x 3 1/4"  & 3 x 3 1/4".   Round the corners of the top of the cardstock and the top of the larger DSP piece ,  Adhere the DSP fold and adhere-insert treat add the punched stamped image!

One more project -

I'm always making lists and jotting down notes and reminders- so I covered Composition notebooks with our beautiful Floral Boutique DSP, a stamped image, some matching washi tape and a bakers' twine bow.

Couldn't stop at just one!

Hope you get inspired to create with these beautiful Designer Series Papers- and don't forget they are buy 3 get 1 free till the end of this month!

Thanks for stopping by - if you enjoyed my projects leave a comment and feel free to pin them to pinterest!

Blessings, Missy

Next stop Connie- looking forward to seeing what she has created!

Tea-riffic Treats!

TEA BAG HOLDER

Cut your paper to 3″ x 9 1/4 ″
Score your paper at 3 1/2″, 4″, 4 1/2″ and 8 1/4″
Fold on your score lines creating a “W” shape. (I hope that makes sense??).  The end with the narrowest scored piece is the front flap. Use the Corner rounder punch on this flap. Use tear and tape to hold the scored section (W) together.  I used two glue dots (one on each side to make a pouch to hold the tea bag inside.  Cut out the tea cut with the Cups and Kettles framelit on the Have a Cuppa DSP.  Stamped the verse from the A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set and punched out with an oval punch.   Add a bow to the front flap. Flap is held together with a velco dot.
