Creating for Craft Fairs

Happy Monday - Hope you had a terrific weekend!

I had a free weekend with only one commitment  (dinner with my long time girlfriends on Sat.) so I took advantage of this time to start prepping and creating for the fall / holiday craft fairs I attend.  I always have a stash of cards on hand, however at the Christmas Market last December I sold out of Christmas Cards so it is time to start creating.  I've been going thru my stash of supplies and Iam using alot of my retired paper, ribbon and embellishments to create these cards with.  Part of my #useitup campaign for this year.  I was amazed at how many I finished this weekend - 

50 Christmas Cards (12 layouts) and 19 occasion cards (4 layouts)- here are a few of the cards I created.

Creating with Petal Promenade

Hope you all had a great holiday weekend!  I took a little time off to catch up

 on some projects around my home and to spend time with family and friends,  I'm back with some awesome samples using an amazing DSP Petal Promenade.

Love the colors in this DSP pack- Blushing Bride, Fresh Fig, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink, Sahara Sand, Smoky Slate, Tranquil Tide, Very Vanilla and Whisper White.  

I decided to see how many cards I can create with one pack of this DSP (this is part of my #operationstophoarding  and # useitup  goals for this year).  So here are the first 5 cards I created. I've been sharing these on my Facebook page -https://www.facebook.com/creativeblessingswithmissy/   and realized that some of my Blog followers might not follow me on facebook- so I'll be sharing them here also.

Honey & Hog Event

Sorry this post is so late today but I wanted to share my day with you.  I spent most of the day vending at a local event- Honey & Hog.  This event is held in June at the historic Dill's Tavern in Dillsburg, Pa.  

The Tavern  was open for tours and the board members were cooking fresh made sausage sandwiches - oh so good!  There was also a local beekeeper there - he gave 2 talks and had honey, infused honey and other products created from honey and beeswax for sale - the Orange Ginger Honey was delicious on chicken!

There was live music thoughout the day and several vendors.

There was a working blacksmith on site also- he was in this buidling.

Another vendor and I were set up in the barn.

Year of Cheer Card Card

I spent some time this weekend creating Finished Card Kits that will be on Sale at upcoming Craft Fairs and a future on-line event. Starting today with a Year of Cheer Kit. This is the finished set.

Loving the clear a acetate boxes to put my completed cards in - a quick belly band that is embellished adds a fun touch and the box can be reused to hold a gift for someone else.

The box includes 4 cards- all the cards are embossed and I love the metallic look of the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I added some foil paper to a few of them.

When life gives you scraps

It's day 2 of the retreat and I found myself with a lot of scraps at the end of the day.  What do you do with all those scraps of paper? I have several Craft Fairs in the next month so I decided to create some fun Birthday cards with the scraps.  

I started with scraps from the Foil Frenzy Designer Series Paper #144125,  Some of the paper I cut into 1" strips and others I punched with the Balloon Bouquet Punch #140609.

Added these elements to some Very Vanilla Cardstock # 101650 and stamped Happy Birthday from the Best Birds Stamp Sets #141525.  A  ribbon bow completes the card.

Here are 3 of the finished cards (ended up with 14 completed cards).

2017 SU Holiday Catalog Product Spotlight-Painted Harvest

Welcome to the 2017 SU Holiday Catalog Product Spotlight Blog Tour! 

 5 days featuring new product to inspire you.  We are starting with the Painted Harvest Stamp Set from page 48-49 of the catalog.  It's part of the Painted Autumn Suite and there are so many products that coordinate.  I have a lot to share with you today so lets take a look at the stamp set first.  It's 13 photopolymer stamps that have a watercolor feel.

One of the first things I did was experiment with some color- this beautiful flower looks great is so many color combinations!

I love home decor projects so I created this sweet project for a co-worker

 friend to remind her how grateful I am for our friendship.

Love creating these mini canvas works of art!

2nd project was this sweet card with a fun fold!  Added the Painted Autumn DSP to the front of the card to match the colors of the sunflower.  

3rd project features the greeting from the stamp set to create a gift box of Thank you cards - using a different piece of DSP makes each card just unique.  Great way to show off this beautiful DSP.

These 4 cards and envelopes will go into one of the NEW Acetate Card Boxes and will make a great gift!
