Remarkable Blog Tour - Get Moving!

It's time again for our monthly blog tour! This month our theme is Get Moving!   Get moving....some suggestions were sports, new home, graduation.  I really struggled with this theme for two reasons, I've been very distracted - spending all my free time helping my daughter as she has been in and out of the hospital after the birth of her first child, and snuggling my beautiful grandson.  Very hard to focus on anything else.

I finally came up with what I wanted to do when I went to spin class on Tuesday.  I needed a place to track my daily food and exercise as it is time to get serious and get healthy!

So here is what I came up with:

Started with one of our Wood Mount Cases

Created a cover that fits between the case and plastic cover.  Needed something to motivate me - sneakers and chubby legs and the reminder to "Get Moving"!  Just a few framelits and thinnlit dies, embossing folder, some cardstock, and twine.

Here's what I have inside a tablet, pen and several note cards that have 30 day exercise challenges on them.  Looking forward to tracking my progress.

Easy project and looking forward to using it!

RemARKable Blog Tour - Memories

Welcome!  Wasn't Nancy's post awesome!
The past two weeks have been exciting, stressful and memorable for our family!  I haven't written about it on my blog, however if you follow my facebook page you know that last month I hosted a baby shower for my daughter.  It has been an exciting time for our family.  "Oliver" was due next week on March 19th, however he made his debut on Feb. 23rd- three weeks early.  His arrived via an emergency c-section as he was in distress and we learned after his birth that my daughter's appendix burst. With an extended hospital stay for both mom and the NICU for Oliver, I am thrilled to say they are both home and doing well!  Our theme this month is about memories and we certainly created lots of those the past 3 weeks!  I am sharing a Project life spread I created for my daughter of Oliver's birth.

I found this photo tray in my craft room -

I knew it would be perfect!  It has 6 - 4' by 6" openings.

This came together quickly ...I picked a few photos I wanted to use, some Project Life cards from the Little Moments Set , and some pieces from the accessory pack. Best part is when I'm ready to create a new spread each of the 6 cards will come out and go into a Project Life Memory Book!

Don't leave those photos on  you phone or in a box- Project Life will help you to preserve your memories!  Just need to journal so that Oliver will know about his first 2 weeks!

RemARKable Pinworthy Blog Tour- New Beginnings

Ready for a new beginning?  We are!! And I have a new blog site - what do you think??
There are so many new beginnings in my life right now - new blog, school is starting soon, both for work and I will become a student again after soooo many years.  We have a family wedding at the end of August and many other NEW things are about to happen,  So what did I want to create for New Beginning??? I have spent the summer giving my home a new look.  My friend Jan and I took a road trip to Lucketts in VA and I found this amazing old window that already had been fitted with a chalkboard painted panel.

This beautiful piece has a New Beginning in my home- just needed to add something to it.  The Stampin Up Chalboard Banner Kit was perfect. Here's a link to a video from Stampin Up on this kit.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dkalaey44sU

Here's what I did with the kit-

This banner was so easy to make- everything you need is included in the kit - and it came together quickly!  I also used the stencils from the Build A Banner Simply Created Kit to chalk the letters blessed on the pieces.

I'd love to read you r comments - have you given a New Beginning to an old piece??
