RemARKable Blog Tour- Thoughtful Branches

Welcome back to the August edition of the RemARKable Blog Tour.  Summer is winding down and it's a great time to start thinking about creating some great projects.  The Annual catalog has so many great stamp sets, paper and embellishments - have you started creating with them yet?

I thought I'd share the August limited - exclusive stamp set and bundle with you.  If you haven't purchased it yet you still have a few days or while supplies last.

Here is a Z card I created using the stamp set. This fun fold card has a WOW factor, but still can be mailed as a standard card.

My fall color combination is Cajun Craze, Old Olive and So Saffron.  Love these colors together!

Hope you are enjoying the tour and feel free to pin my creation to Pinterest and leave me a comment.

Blessings, Missy

RemARKable Blog Tour - Watercolor Wings & Bold Butterfly Bundle

Welcome back to the RemARKable Stampers Blog Tour!  This year we are going to focus on Bundles.  Stampin' Up has so many great bundles in the Annual Catalog - Bundles are a pairing of two products- usually a stamp set and the second product is either a punch, set of framelits or other product.  These bundles are offered at a savings of 15%.  I love when I can purchase products at a savings!
Hope you join us on the second Thursday of each month at 8 PM to be inspired!
This month I choose to feature the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set and Bold Butterfly Framelits Bundle which is on page 75 of the 15-16 Annual Catalog.

First project - if you know me you know that I love to give and leave little gifts!  Here's an adorable tiny treats gift box!  Simple, quick and easy!

The treat boxes are on page 151 - #135829 - Tiny Treat boxes- 25 (2x2x2") boxes get for chocolate treats, jewelry, or cash!!!  I triple stamped the small butterfly with Calypso Coral ink and cut it out with the framelit (from a matching set) then cut out the top butterfly from a piece of DSP from the Pretty Petals Paper Stack, added some Rhinestone Jewels and a quick tag was created with two other stamps from the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set.  A piece of Mint Macaron 1" Dotted Lace Trim adds a really soft touch.  Love how it looks!

Next project is a little more involved!  It's my first Card in a box card!
This card can fold flat and be mailed in a standard envelope.  There are lots of tutorials on line - I actually used two and took parts from both to create this card.  Butterflies are stamped with the Watercolor  Wings Stamp Set, sentiments are also from this set and the third butterfly is die cut from the Bold Butterfly Framelits.  The ferns in the back are from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set- stamped and hand cut.

I love the way this card came out and am looking forward to creating many other cards and gift packaging with this Bundle!  I'd love for you to leave a comment - what do you think?  Feel free to Pin these samples if you are on Pinterest!
Have fun creating!

Blessings, Missy

RemARKable Blog Tour - Memories

Welcome!  Wasn't Nancy's post awesome!
The past two weeks have been exciting, stressful and memorable for our family!  I haven't written about it on my blog, however if you follow my facebook page you know that last month I hosted a baby shower for my daughter.  It has been an exciting time for our family.  "Oliver" was due next week on March 19th, however he made his debut on Feb. 23rd- three weeks early.  His arrived via an emergency c-section as he was in distress and we learned after his birth that my daughter's appendix burst. With an extended hospital stay for both mom and the NICU for Oliver, I am thrilled to say they are both home and doing well!  Our theme this month is about memories and we certainly created lots of those the past 3 weeks!  I am sharing a Project life spread I created for my daughter of Oliver's birth.

I found this photo tray in my craft room -

I knew it would be perfect!  It has 6 - 4' by 6" openings.

This came together quickly ...I picked a few photos I wanted to use, some Project Life cards from the Little Moments Set , and some pieces from the accessory pack. Best part is when I'm ready to create a new spread each of the 6 cards will come out and go into a Project Life Memory Book!

Don't leave those photos on  you phone or in a box- Project Life will help you to preserve your memories!  Just need to journal so that Oliver will know about his first 2 weeks!

Remarkable Pinworthy Tour - Tie One On!

It is the most wonderful time of the year!  First I'm back to creating!  Took some time off as I completed a college class.  I passed the class and am now studying for a certification test.  But I'm taking a few days to enjoy the season!  Love all the lights and music this time of year.  I also love creating my own packaging and tags for gift giving.  I hope you enjoy what I've created and please feel free to "PIN" the samples to your Pinterest board.

I had a lot of scraps on my table from Christmas cards I was creating, so I used what was available to create the following three tags.  First I needed a tag for a bottle of wine I'm giving.

Love how this came together!   Simple quick and easy!

Next I needed a tag for a gift bag for a man.  I think this is perfect!

My final tag is a gift for a friend who loves skittles and old jars.

All tree tags used scraps of cardstock, DSP, and ribbons.  Just added some stamped images and embellishments.  Total time to create - under an hour from start to finish!

Hope you have time this holiday season to "Tie One On!"
Merry Christmas and a Creative New Year!
Blessings, Missy
